Although many of you do not know me, I have spent countless hours reading your posts and looking at your pictures. I am 100% a newbie with chickens and thanks to many of you, I am learning some tricks of the trade. I decided to try this whole backyard chicken thing in January and began researching and trying to learn every thing I could. I ordered my chicks from a hatchery and they are due to arrive this week. I have worked so hard for this! Building a coop and chicken run, (aka the feather fortress) and learning about and preparing my brooder. I have a supply cabinet of medicines for chicken ailments that I didn't know existed. You guys have been a major part in this process without even knowing. I felt it was time to introduce myself and say Thank You for sharing with me.☺ I am so ready to start and to finally get to see my chicks this week.
