8 Buff Orpington and 4 Barnevelder

(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Not sure yet. We are big egg eaters but I love watching their mannerisms!

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Crochet/knitting, meditation, learning to garden

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
2 young children, SAHM, 1 cat, 1 dog

(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I keep seeing helpful information on these boards show up when I Google questions I thought I'd make an account to participate. Thank you for the warm welcome!
 
It's really exciting to welcome someone so new to chicken keeping. I was just 2 years ago but everyone here made me feel welcome and supplied answers to all my most basic questions and new I feel confident and competent. We'll be happy to do that for you too!
