I'm new to the chicken world and have been lurking on BYC for about a week now trying to learn a few things before I start. So much to learn!!!!

I'm starting out small and I guess we'll see if the addiction grabs hold and if I need to expand or not. As I type this I am taking a break from building my coop. I am taking pictures as I go so I'll be able to share. My girls should be here next week... One Welsummer, one Orpington, one Ameraucana and one Australorp. I wanted to start out with a little mix and then see where that takes me and being in Idaho I wanted cold-hardy birds.
