Hi- I have been raising chickens in my small village for about 4 years. I am moving to the country and I am increasing my flock! Building an 8X12 coop with a run off both ends
I currently have 2 Rhode Island Reds (Princess Chicken, Little Clucker), 2 Isa Browns, (Issy and Brownie), 2 Ameraucana (Diamond Girl- laid 1 egg in her life, and Curry Chicken-had bumblefoot and lives in the house), a Gold Lace Wyandotte (Winona), 2 random breed hens my friend hatched in her classroom, and a Barred Rock (Specks). I raised a pair of Roen ducks and a runner drake last year, and had 3 beautiful roosters, but the neighbors did not like the noise... LOL! I have 40 chicks, 2 guinea fowl and 6 ducks on order...SO EXCITED ABOUT THE BRAHMAS!
Retiring from being a school psych, looking forward to gardening, crafting and raising my flock. I have a Boston terrier, I hunt, fish, garden, can, preserve, live off the land, camp, kayak, make beer and wine...life is so good!
