I'm new to the world of chickens -- my husband grew up with them out in West Texas, but I was raised on a cattle ranch (OK girl here). We are in the process of researching everything in the hopes of starting in the next month or two with some chicks.

Really excited to start this process!

HI, I'm a newbie too. Welcome. My coop is built and my brooder is ready for my chicks. I ordered from Murray McMurray Hatchery. My chicks will be shipping the last week of Feb. I am so eggcited. I am sharing an order of 25 with a fellow chicken person from CL. Getting 10 White Rocks, 5 Buff Rocks, 5 Black Australorps, 5 New Hampshires. Supposed to be all pullets - We will see !! I also get one free exotic chick have no idea what that will be but probably a cockrel. I do not want a roo so I will probably sell or give it away.
