Greetings from Alabama! My passion for chickens started when I was a child. My grandfather had a small farm where he raised hogs, goats and chickens. My main interest right now is laying hens. Planning to start with 4-6 hens (RIR and Barred Rock). Also want to get my teenage children interested in farming and gardening. It's a way of life that seems to be disappearing in today's society.
