I have four hens, and one is setting on 9 eggs! Well, there were 12, but she ate 3. Any ideas why? I could use some advice as to how to move them down to ground level after the chicks hatch, my husband built the hen house tall so we wouldn't have to bend over to get eggs. Didn't really think we would be having chicks....
Thanks for any advice!
Wendy

Why not post your question in the Raising Baby Chicks area of the forum? I'm sure you'll find lots of great advice there.

. I agree, post any questions about chicks or anything and I'm sure someone will know the answer. Just not me, I'm a new egg too!! Still got lots to learn. (Wish I was there where the weather is cooler!)

I think you would be fine moving them down. Probably best at night, and you might need to keep them seperate from the other hens. Good luck.
