So my wife and i decided to raise chickens again and we are waiting for spring and the delivery of our White Chanticlars. We hope they will do good here.

Hi welcome to BYC! Chantecleres are a great breed especially in the cold because they were developed for the cold climates with their smallish comb which is known as a cushion comb and is one of the only Canadian chickens accepted in the APA (American Poultry Association) standard of perfection.

I hope you enjoy your new chickens because it sounds like a great breed to start out with.

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided to our flock. My family and I have visited Alaska on several occasions and love it there. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Good luck in getting your White Chanteclers.

I'm glad you joined our "flock"

Chanteclers are beautiful birds that should work out great for your climate! They are particularly cold hardy and good layers as well.
