As for breeds, I particularly recommend Wyandottes, since they tend to be hardy, gentle, and productive. Sex-links, Easter Eggers, Orpingtons, and Australorps are great choices, too.

Hi I live in Chugiak AK I have some chicks that are 2 weeks old if you are interested we could talk they are Easter eggers and Barred rocks they are still cute fluffy and health..
