Hello from an outlaw chicken farmer

I'm about 13 months into my small flock of 2 rhode island reds, 2 barred rocks, 1 black sex link, 1 silver laced wyandotte, 1 buff orphington, 1 dominique and 1 buff brahma. I've been lurking around the forum for a long time, but finally decided it would be fun to contribute. I'm not supposed to have chickens in my community, but my neighbors don't seem to mind and I hope we won't problems, because my kids are really attached to these birds.

Wecome! I'm not suppose to have chicken's either, even though I live in a rural area and have almost two acres. But the county employee that I talked to told me that they would not do anything as long as nobody complained. She stated that after that last huge salmonella scare, everyone wanted to raise their own chickens! I found homes for the three roosters that I discovered existed in my group! I was afraid that crowing would prompt complaints! So GOOD LUCK! I hope everything works out for you!
