Hello from Argentina! :)

Hi Guada! It's nice to have you here! Beautiful chickens! That INTA sounds like a neat organization! I heard of a similar programs of issuing chickens to control feed waste. So far I hear it's been fairly effective!

I hope you and your flock are doing well and Pipa makes a full recovery!

Thanks for joining and welcome to BackYard Chickens!

Hiiii thank you :)!
Yeah. I really like INTA bc they have been offering free seeds for small producers for years (they have stopped with our current politics...).
BUT (there's always a BUT, it seems like), the seeds they give are genetically modified you know? Like to be 'perfect' seeds, to have less illnesses and yadda yadda. So yeah, they are great but also, it would be great if them would be more worried about giving something more 'natural' or 'ecoogical', you know?
I started off with their seeds last year but for this spring/summer i got organic seeds from small producers around my area.
But overall they really care about giving people the chance to grow their own food and that is definitely awesome.
It's a difficult thing to have an opinion on, I think 🤔 hehe.
BTW, Pipa is doing great, recovering slowly but we are in a good position rn <3

Thanks for your answer!
