I've been wanting chickens for a few months now and my husband and I decided now was the perfect time to go about and get some egg layers as well as have more things to take care of ;)

I'm a mom of 2 kids and a Maine Coon mix cat. We're sharing an almost 2-acre plot with my in laws. As far as hobbies go, I love gardening, watching animals, playing games and taking pictures.

I've been reading the forum pages pretty much since I started thinking about getting chicks, so I decided it was time to jump in. :) Take care everyone!

LOL We like them well enough; I grew up with my grandmother who had a neighbor with a rooster so early morning crowing wouldn't bother me too much ;) The in laws even want us to breed/incubate eggs at some point.

There ARE a couple of chicks I'm unsure are pullets in our current batch. We'll have to see ;)
