Queen Creek, Az
Hi, I live in Queen Creek, Az on a small Ranchette in which I have 9 horses, 3 dogs and 8 chickens. I love chickens! The ones that I have are all under 4 mos. My recent additions are 2 Easter colored chicks that I bought just to keep my ill Egyptian Fayoumis warm. The Egyptian was a feed store rescue. My husband said they don't do well alone at such a young age. She was a few days old. Well she didn't make it and died in my hand last night. She would have been my ninth chicken. My 9 horses are of various breeds including a 32 yo AQHA mare that I have had for 27 years, her APHA daughter who is 14, in foal, and due in 9 days, an APHA gelding who is 14, a 2 yo Arabian filly, a 25 yo Arabian mare, a 24 yo Arabian mare, a 21 yo Arabian gelding, a 9 yo Miniature stallion and last but not least, Merlin, a 14 yo gelding. The breeds of chickens I have are 2 Barred Rock roosters who were suppose to be hens, 2 Production Red hens, 2 Americauna hens and the 2 Easter colored chicks I have no clue. All I know is that they are pink and yellow and very LOUD. Lol My three dogs are, a 9 yo female Border Collie, a 4 yo female Red Queensland Heeler and a 5 yo female Red Queensland Heeler. I love gardening, animals(can't you tell?), road trips, riding, rescuing horses and computers. I'm glad to be here and hope to learn more about the wonderful world of Chickens.

Hello and
welcome-byc.gif
from South Carolina!

If the chicks are really loud, they're trying to tell you something! Maybe too cold, too hot, not happy about something!
