I have a great place for Chickens (and a couple of Ducks) to call home.
Trouble is, no one within 50 miles of Prescott is raising any for sale.
Our Feed Store got only 144 last month and all gone .. fast !

I have about 50 hens and just one big tough rooster (so he thinks).

Hi, I'm in the Verde Valley too, but grew up in Prescott. Great to see people in the forum that are nearby! Have you checked out Olsen's Grain for chicks? I think they sell them here, at least in the spring.

Hi! I'm up north of you 50 miles in Ash Fork. I go to Prescott a lot. Olsens in Chino Valley runs out of chicks early the day they get them in. I got some this year from a local business in Kiabab Estates. Unfortunately I found one of my RIR's dead in the coop this morning.

Go to Craig's list in Phoenix and type in Chickens... there are lots of places you can buy chickens... many of them already started (you'll pay extra for that)... but you'll get eggs sooner.
