My name is Kate and we are located in Phoenix, Arizona and have 3 banty duckwing chickens that we got in July. They are a hoot to watch, especially when the roo crows.. They should start laying eggs in the next week or so. They are in a 4' x 5' wire coop. They have the run of the grassy backyard during the day and at sunset they go roost in the coop. So they are our pet yard chickens.Also have one dog, a Doberman.
Would like to start another larger coop for meat/egg chickens outside of the back yard. Not sure how to do the set up for that..Am thinking of some type of walk-in set up. Open for suggestions on a larger set up for maybe 20-25 chickens.
I've been reading lots of posts here at BYC for a few weeks trying to sort out and absorb all the info here. Looking forward to the whole chicken experience.
