I am hoping someone here can help me. I love my chickens but one for sure possible two are sick, my husband and I just started to have chickens 4 months ago we got our 4 girls when they were just little puff balls and now one has a closed seeping eye and the other has what seems to be a mouth full of mucus, and this morning has a bit of wheezing. I dont know whst to do for them. they actually have been separated from the other two for 3 days or so the one that has the mucus in her mouth has been separated for about a week cause she was being a bully and when we bought the other one into the garage (both in separate cages) it was because if her eye i didn't want anyone to pick on her. I didn't notice her eye until we tried to reintroduce the bully back with the flock, there was a scuffle, broke that up but didn't noticed the one with the closed eye even being close enough to be pecked or clawed but I then separated her as soon as I noticed her eye wasn't opening
I really hope someone can help me. Thank you

Welcome to BYC!

Sorry about your hens. Sounds like they have a respiratory ailment going on. You might want to start them on antibiotics which you can get at some feed stores or on line here at poultry supply companies. Duramycin or Oxytetracycline works great on most respiratory ailments. Even Sulfadimethoxine is great for some respiratory issues like Coryza.

I would start with the Duramycin in the water for 10 to 14 days and see how they do.

I am sorry about your babies and if you need any other help with things, you can also post in our emergency section here on BYC for lots of help as well....
