Hi, I am from Arkansas and I own 2 Easter Egger hens named Kip and Darkie. I just ordered 25 Sumatra chicks and I can't wait for them to get here.
I have one dog named Ozzy. I also have three horses name Sunday, Dickens, and Big Buddy. I am nineteen and going to college online to get a degree in Equine Studies. I am also taking a photography class.
Anyways, I have had chickens for most of my life (at least on the weekends I was in AR) up until about five years ago. Then my grandparents got rid of all their bird and mine too. Then about a year ago I bought Kip and raised her in the house for a couple of months. Eventually she got to big and had to go outside so I bought her 10 new friends. A week later a rat snake(RIP) ate nine of her friends and the only one left was a little blackish colored hen so I named her Darkie. Anyways, I have since snake proofed my chicken pens and decided to start with some new chicks.
