We have been considering trying to raise chickens for some time now, specifically for eggs.
We were on vacation last week and ran into a few really cool people from Ohio who are members here and heavily recommended this site.
So here we are!

Based on the little information we have right now, we are thinking that 5 chickens would make the most sense.

So, I supposed the short comments is "hello everyone, thanks for having us!"

hello and welcome!!

i am a new chicken mommy and have 5 chickens. i figured 5 was a good number to start out with as well. i got my babies at 2 days old and they are now 5 weeks. i love them so much and i am so glad i decided to become a chicken mom! if your heart is in it, than you will be just fine :D

good luck and i hope you get all the info you need to start raising your own babies!
