Hello All,

My partner and two daughters live in a town in regional Australia, on a largish block, which we are slowly converting into a productive space, with veg gardens, fruit trees, and now chickens! After spending 11 years building our chook shed (we were distracted) we've finally adopted 4 lovely hens. A RIR (Scarlett O'Hara), French Maran x (Brigitte Bardot), Bantam of unknown heritage (Queenie) and a Barnevelder/Silver Dorking x (Marley). All are gorgeous, and we are completely smitten.

Very glad to have found BackYard Chickens - what a wonderful resource!
