Hello, just joined. I want to find some local fresh yard eggs. My chickens are only 12 weeks old and it looks like i won't have eggs till around September. Problem is I just don't feel comfortable buying eggs at the grocery store anymore. I'll probably be hanging around the Farmers Markets from now on. Looking to make contact with others raising backyard chickens in my neighborhood.

Yea, you should check out Where am I, where are you and maybe also the Meetups section, I know that the BYCers sometimes organise get togethers.

Good luck! I agree with you about the store bought eggs, we mostly used those from our chickens when they still laid. It was great.
