I am relatively new to the chicken world. I have been in the game for just over a year now. My mentor laughs because in that year I have encountered any and every disease and condition a chicken can get.
I have never looked back. I enjoy my girls and the 2 boys I have and am looking forward to my new hatch growing big and strong(fingers crossed)

well. I have Chanteclers, the pullets are from a breeder close to us who breeds to standard. The rooster in an Albertan Chantecler or partridge. 3 Bielfelders, 3 wyandotte crosses and one sex link. I lost 2 orps, one sex link and a pile of chantys to a raccoon. I have recently rescued a pile of sexlinks, an easter egger bantam and I think some cream legbar bantams.
The chicks I hatched out are cream legbars, lavendar orps, silver penciled plymouth rocks, copper marans and silver salmon marans. So my yard shall look rather interesting come the fall
