Hello from beautiful Tasmania

Hi everyone,

I'm finally getting back into having some laying hens in my suburban Australian backyard after a long time of living in small units with no room or opportunity.... a far cry from my rural childhood and years spent on my own property!

Having a great time so far and found this site so helpful getting ideas to build a decent coup out of mostly scrap materials! I'm sure there'll be more questions from me in the future.

There are many Aussies on here and Australian thread so they can meet each other and keep in touch. I subscribe to it myself - because many have Emus and I think they are fascinating. It's good to know where the best places are to buy chicks, or food, or supplies etc.
