I wanted to introduce myself, I've been reading for a while, but wanted to finally create an account.

I live outside of Bemidji, MN with my wife and 2 daughters (4mo, 3 1/2yrs). Our oldest gets unlimited entertainment out of our free range chickens. Our flock is 4x RIR and 4x silver laced Wyandotte, all hens and 15 mo. We just added 4x Plymouth Barred Rock pullets this spring. It's been fun having the chickens peck around the yard- I haven't seen a tick since we started free ranging. The best part is that they have been turning those nasty bugs into tasty eggs for us, at least until recently...
