I've been keeping hens for about six years now..so not so much a new flock..but all the hens I've had before have been chosen by me...the recent 5 weren't as they were given to me by the family of a lady who recently died..

What works, works and those experiences are priceless. I'm somewhat self taught from texts and all info I can find. But the experiences of so many folks on the site has been the most valuable resource for me.
