Hello all,

My name is Greg. My wife Jamie and I just got three White Rock pullets from Runnings on Saturday. They are in the brooder now, and we are starting on the coop soon. I have a metal shed that I rarely use and I think it will be just fine. Never had chickens before, but I sure do look forward to raising these girls.

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided join our flock. Be sure that your metal shed is shaded and has really good ventilation. Metal sheds can get really hot beneath the summer sun. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Good luck with your White Rock pullets.

Hi Greg and welcome to our community!

Glad you could join BYC! Congratulations on your new pullets. The White Rock is an excellent breed with good egg production and an usually docile temperament. I agree with Michael O Shay's advice; be sure to have adequate ventilation and shade, or that shed might get pretty hot. Chickens don't tend to like the heat.

Good luck with your flock!

Welcome to BYC! Please make yourself at home and we are here to help.

Nice to meet you, Greg and Jamie!

Congrats on your white rocks
