I guess I will start asking my question here. My best chicken Matilda(Americauna) hence the user name, was recently mauld by my neighbors dog three days ago. Not sure what happened but I think she got out of our yard and was scratching for food in theirs. She was scalped down to the muscle(head, neck and upper back). Thought she was dead but the neighbors found her in their bushes. I took her in and cleaned her up. She definitely was in shock, but alive. I have isolated her and been cleaning her wounds daily. She is slow and I am forcing her ( if necessary) to drink water with a multi vitamin mixture. My concern is that she is not eating. I try to give her some of the younger chicks food, and really small bits of apple. Any suggestions or thoughts would be very appreciated.

Welcome, Matilda! We are from Idaho also. There is an Idaho thread here that you can go to for very good information. Find Where are You in the forums and follow that to Idaho. There is also a forum for Injured chickens. Both would be sure to have lots of good information to help you. :D
