Im new and gathering information. Im a farm girl at heart and miss it terrably. My DH grew up in the city and is a defanite city boy. I have given up on my own farm (for now) so Im trying to bring the country to me...in a small way. We have a huge yard with 7 other yards backing on to ours. I havent been able to completly figure out our by-laws here but I know of two other back yard coops in the city. I'm hoping to stop by the one soon and meet them and get some advise.

Hi and welcome. Wishing you the best of luck on your farm project. I know how you feel. I've been able to satisfy my longing for a farm with my chickens. Started our with six and have four hens now. It is enough for now. Start small. You can add as you go.
