Hi, even though I joined a while ago, I never used the account, but I'm getting eggs soon and I thought that I might use BYC again! This website is so helpful and I learned so much from it, even when I wasn't a member! Unlike the rest of you, I don't have chickens at all. Wish I did, but I live in the crowded city where no one keeps chickens miles from here. i always ask myself "What made me love chickens so much?"

For a hobby, I order.eggs online and hatch them in a homemade incubator I have. (They don't sell incubators near here) and when they hatch, I raise them for a week or two and give them away. it's hard finding homes for them though, but I seem to manage. I always have questions and I look forward to using this forum to help me with my chicks!
-Alison (My last hatch was button quail, next, I'm doing either Gambel quail or Scaled Quail. Quail are smaller and easier to manage, so I've done quail more times than I hatched chickens)
