Hello from Camano Island

I am new to BYC and new to chickens and to Camano Island (I came from Lynnwood). I have learned so much from everyone on how to raise these cute little chickens the best I can. It seems like a great group of people!

I, too, am new to chickens and BYC, and am moving to Camano Island. Unfortunately, we just read our CC&Rs and chickens are not allowed in the Country Club subdivision. We are hoping that when we get there, we will find that they have reconsidered this policy. Hope that you have have had success with your chickens!

Welcome to Camano, I just love it here. My brother and sister-in-law used to live in Country Club years ago. It seemed like a nice community. Hopefully they will let you have some hens, and just ban the roosters. If you are looking for some fresh organic eggs, between my neighbor and I we have 32 chickens that we pasture raise just for fun. Good luck with your move!

Hi! The little man and I are in the process of buying a home in Camano Island. The HOA only regulates the water and I haven’t seen any CCR’s that say no chickens. How do I find the municipal codes regulating chickens for the island? Every Google search I do comes up with info for Stanwood.
