Wow, I had no idea there were so many poultry addicts. Feel so much better now!
My husband and I and our three sons, were " back to the landers" in the seventies, and considering we were the original " city people ", we have enjoyed every minute of the past 30 years.
We have raised Rabbits, chickens, geese, ducks, guineas, and pheasants. In the nineties the children were in to horses, so poultry took a back seat. When the last child moved out and took the last horse with him, I could hardly wait to get back in to poultry again. Then came the search for the " perfect chicken". We tried many breeds over several years, until while visiting a poultry show in Australia I fell in love and finally settled on the wonderful Columbian Wyandottes.
