Hi! My name is Jen and I will be picking up my very first chicks next month. I'm really excited (and maybe a little bit nervous) about having some new animals in our lives. I decided to get 3 buff orpingtons and 2 barred plymouth rocks to start. We were lucky enough to purchase a house last year (yay!) that had a chicken coop where the former owners kept chickens. It needs some repair/predator-proofing so that has been on my mind. I am having a LOT of fun reading through all different threads here in the forums.
