Hello everyone I am new to keeping chickens. I just recently adopted 5 hens and a rooster from the local humane society. So far everything is going well, even found eggs the first day we brought them home. They are various breeds or mixed breeds (mutts/mogies). We built a 12x8x8 cool inside our barn for them and they are doing extremely well. Now I'm working on getting them used to humans. These birds were rescued from a fighting ring, none of them were fought or used as bait birds. Thank you for all the information I have discovered here.
