So very soon we'll have four little roosters and two hens, all treated mostly like pets if that makes any sense. Of course they don't all get along, but between the six of them, they need three coops.
I'm a "noobie" in the care and handling of chicks, but I believe the roosters are Bantams (sp?) and I am unsure of the hen types.
Sure wish I discovered this awesome forum sooner. I am in the last leg of building a "triple coop" and found this forum when researching some details.
We're both retired and enjoying life in a rural Paso Robles, California. I also like to get up into the high Sierra to go hiking, been a long time amateur radio operator, and have been known to go jogging long distances at the slowest speed possible.
I'm grateful for all of the knowledge shared on this site.
