(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
We are new! We recently became a chicken family on March 26, 2021.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
10!
(3) What breeds do you have?
Olive eggera, americauna, a California type.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Eggs! Teaching our children they value of keeping chickens.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Gardening.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
My husband and I have 2 children and a chocolate lab. I am a stay at home mom, starting homeschooling in the fall, and enjoying life in 5 acres in the Ocala National Forest.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
half a dozen years ago when I knew one day we would have chickens! Finally got them, finally joined!
