Thanks for the welcome folks, I like it here. I haven't yet posted any questions as I've found the answers to the one's I've had by just browsing the forums. The Penthouse type coop is the general design I'm looking at, I'm a big fellow, (6'4, 230 lbs) and like the walk-in run area, but I also like the bottom door like in this one, as well as it being built on posts sunk below grade: https://www.backyardchickens.com/a/the-maxwell-houses-member-page
I will be keeping a photo log as I begin work, whenever that is. I'm still in the R&D phase so to speak. I'll also post a couple of shots of the old hen house here which is a storage shed now, but has "character".
