I have a small backyard flock consisting of 8 hens, 1 rooster oops!, and two pekin ducks. I have two real chidren 10 and 6. I love chickens it is rrlaxing to watch sthem and rewarding. there is nothing like the excitement of seeing and finding your first egg. I bought ducks this year so that I could try duck eggs. people say they are yummy to cook with. I am also trying to build a small business of goat soap, shampoos, lotions, and lip balms. It is hard considering the economy. Thank Goodness I dont have to make alivin from it.
