Hi Everyone!! I've been reading posts on BYC for a couple of months and just started logging on daily. I just moved to Massachusetts and absolutely love it here! I am raising my first little flock. I have 1 white silkie pullet, three Polish pullets, and a black cochin frizzle roo. They enjoy a nice outdoor run and have a large coop that was built indoors on our enclosed porch. The porch has the newest windows so is the warmest room in the house so its great for the winter. They also have a window air conditioner so they can be cool in the winter. What's even better is that are chairs and a small table next to the coop so I can sit and watch them often. I do this daily, sometimes for hours. I just love Polish chickens and silkies! I'm hoping next spring the frizzle roo will lead to some frizzled Polish and sizzles.
I also have two dogs, including a pug/chihuahua mix and a blue tick coonhound/basset mix. Finally, I have several goldfish tanks, including one very special goldfish who can't swim and get handfed daily. He also uses the air punp bubbles to shoot himself to the top of the tank and then sink back to the bottom. He repeats this over and over sometimes.
