Hello from Central VA, USA

Been busy reading alot over the last couple of days.

Not exactly new to chickens since I've had them for the past dozen years but I am new to raising my own. And I'd like to give heritage turkeys a try this spring too. Still deciding between slate and Narragansett.

My favorite chickens are large fowl/full size/standards - orpingtons, wyandottes and ameraucanas (not easter eggers though I have them too) Love the top hats (polish) and am intrigued by the silkies/showgirl silkies even though they are banties.

Hope to learn a lot and perhaps add some helpful information here and there

We have Bourbon Red and a Royal Palm mix, and they're great. Very curious about everything going on. When we're outside working, they follow us around just to see what we're doing
