Thanks. I'll check them out.The older ones came from a place called Cheshire poultry. The others were from Happy hens and a couple of local breeders.

Welcome, I'm new here too and everyone here is very helpfulGood morning all.
I live in the UK and have been keeping pet chickens and ducks for approximately 10 years.
We started off with Orpington’s and Bluebells but now keep only bantam breeds Pekins, Wyandotte and a couple of Silkies. We also have four male Call ducks.
As we all know unless you have kept chickens you will never know what unique personalities they have and there is of course the bonus of having fresh eggs.
Although I have dipped into this site for a long time, this is the first time I have joined. Thank you for having me.
Many of the people here will have far more experience of chicken keeping than I do, so I’m looking forward to learning more about these lovely creatures.

Hi Denise
This one showed up it is feral. The ladies took to her. She made a small hole in my netting and lets herself in and out. I have tried with neighbors to catch her and remove her. I call her the Intruder. She will be removed later on this year I hope before she gives the ladies fleas or something else. I love cats and kittens just only have room for the ladies right now. She has grown on me and will be sad to see her go but go she must. They are lovely. I notice the little kitten. I have four cats and two dogs. Only one cat is allowed to free rangeand when he had access to the girls pen he used to sit in there for ages just in case any rodents appeared.
