Hello from Chicago Suburbs!

Good morning! I'm joining as a new chicken mom. Our family got three chicks on April 8th (they were about a week old) and now they are starting to lay their first eggs! We have a silver laced wyandotte named Bear, a buff orpington named Little Critter, and an americauna named Carol Baskin. They live in their coop in our backyard in a western suburb of Chicago and enjoy roaming the back yard when we're outside. This has been an incredible Covid project and a great way to teach our kids about responsibility and nature! I've used this site multiple times in the past few months for research and I look forward to being a part of the group to continue to learn more about raising the girls!
