We just moved here recently and the house came with a big chicken coop. I am getting 16 chicks from My Pet Chicken at the end of June and bought 5 black silkie chicks locally (one or two are not silkie) :-( . I have had chickens before but it was so long ago I feel like I am brand new to it. I ordered 4 Salmon Faverolles, 4 partridge silkies, 1 blue cochin, 1 partridge cochin, 2 light brahmas, 2 easter eggers, 1 astralorp, and 1 silver-laced wyandotte. All are supposed to be pullets except for 1 faverolle rooster and 1 partridge silkie. I can hardly wait for them to get here. I have been lurking and reading post for a couple of weeks and have learned a lot. Would love to hear from other AZ residents. Anyway, glad to meet you all.
