Hi, I'm Tanya from Watkins, CO
We are new to chickens and just picked up our 9 ladies from the post office this morning.
We have no idea what breeds we have, so it will be fun watching them grow and trying to figure out what they are.
We wanted to raise chickes for a few reasons...of course eggs, and meat. But also for the rewarding experience of raising more of our own food and for being more self reliant.
Our hobbies are camping, fishing, ATV'ing, beekeeping and crafting. My husband would also add restoring old cars to that list
We have a small ranch in Watkins where we have a few dogs (American Bulldog and a Dogue De Bordeaux), bees and now chickens. We just started our place, after moving from a Denver suburb, so I am sure as we get more settled we will expand on that. We have 3 grown children and 1 in high school.
