Hello,
My name is David and currently I have no birds or animals of any kind as I was recently involuntarily recalled to the army, and now I'm in Afghanistan. Early next year, I'll be out, and getting back on the farm. As you can tell by my user name, I love Plymouth Rocks and Faverolles. Actually I love all the breeds, but if I had to have favorites, they would be those two. In the past I have raised most colors of Large and Bantam Plymouth Rocks and Faverolles (all show quality) and 20 or so other breeds. When I get out I am getting just these two breeds so I can specialize more. I have already been in contact with breeders and am looking forward to raising birds once again. If anyone would like to see some of the birds I have raised in the past, I may be able to post a few in the breeds forums. My large Buff Rocks made it in the Backyard poultry magazine a year or two back. I myself, look forward to answering the many questions that people have about poultry. Even though I am young, and I am far from knowing everything, I have bred and shown poultry on and off for 12 to 15 years and have quite a bit of knowledge I'd love to share. If you have any questions of me, please feel free to ask. I look forward to getting to know people on this site, and possibly seeing some of you at shows starting next year. In addition to poultry (Chickens, bantams, ducks, geese and turkeys), my wife and I will be getting Large Black pigs, four breeds of rabbits, and eventually Perendale sheep, and Red Poll cattle. My wife wants alpacas, but those will probably be several years off.
Once again, Hello to everyone and God Bless,
David
