I am so glad I happened on this great forum. Very confusing with different countries, and different breed standards for the Marans! Wish they were all more together on the standards. The French ones seem to have the better colors, so am going to learn all I can about them, after all they have been breeding the Marans for hundreds of years! Going to take me months to read everything about them on this forum.
