Hello from Colorado!

Hello, I guess it is about time I introduce myself. I have been looking on backyard chickens for a few weeks now and have learned so much. I am new to chicken keeping and I am so excited for it! I will be getting 6 pullets on Saturday, 2 Black Australorps, 2 Barred Plymouth Rocks, and 2 Americaunas. I am looking forward to raising chickens and having some lovely fresh eggs! While my chicks are in the brooder, my husband will be building a coop. We have a pretty good plan and I can't wait to share pictures when it is finished! We have got so many ideas just from BYC. We live in southern Colorado and have an acre land. I have two daughters, ages 4 and 2 who will also love helping out with the chickens! BYC looks so informational and I am so happy to be a member and being able to discuss chickens with everyone!
