Hey everyone!

My name is Daniel, I'm a biologist and I live in the cold mountains of Costa Rica (yep, we do have cold places ) and my experience with chickens is very little actually... I had 4 chickens and a rooster but an opossum killed 3 chickens and a few days ago I got 3 new ones! They are 13 weeks old but they are not getting along with the old chicken... Anyway, the thing is that I love chickens and raising them!! The breed is ISA Brown, they are really common down here...

I love this website! Full of people with lots of experience and other like me who just want to learn!

Pura vida!

Hello, and welcome :clap
Sorry for your loss, Chickens are very social, but can sometimes resemble the mean high school girl in the movies. If you could create a temp barrier inside your coop and run where they can see each other, talk but not peck at each other the transition should go a little smoother. They will still argue a bit as they figure out the pecking order but it should be fine.

good luck and check out some of the threads and articles about new introductions to the coop. Lots of ideas some may work better for you than others. Also check out the social section have some fun and meet some nice ppl.
