(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Partially new, this is my 2nd year keeping quails. I'm in the process of building a pen for ducks (not having them yet) and a larger set of boxes for quails with wire floor.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
Right now, I'm at 12 quails but also incubating a batch of 100 quail eggs (it's a 2nd day). Not keeping them all, some will go to my friend who want's to start keeping quails
(3) What breeds do you have?
Not sure about breed names, have all kinds of Japanese Coturnix Quail, white with speckles, dark brown and light brown with white collar.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Having fresh eggs every day, taking care of little critters and building stuff by yourself! And watching them run around and chirp 
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Electronics, programming, forging and welding, building stuff, taking stuff apart.. I also keep bees for honey, wax and propolis.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
Just trying to live my life as self sufficiently as I can. And, what is equally important, to be happy and enjoy the process!

Actually, just googled something about quails and found this awesome place! So much of quality information here, this is great!
