Hello, and welcome to BYC. What do you do with the propolis from your hives ?

I'm just making simple alcohol tincture. It's supposed to be very healthy and it's a shame to throw all that stuff when cleaning the hives.

There's plenty of online resources regarding the procedure, but I just KISS - dissolve it in at least 70% ethanol (for human consumption - must not be denatured alcohol!!), let it settle down, sift and store in fridge in small glass bottles.

Not much to it, the hard part is taking it off of hives

Yep, from Croatia, near capital Zagreb.
Used to live in Zagreb, in a flat... Whole family got fed up with concrete, stress and noise. Sold everything, bought a small piece of land and built a house!

As time goes by, I'm planning on keeping two goats and maybe some rabbits (for meat and fur)... we'll see.

Just trying to cut down on anything I have to buy, want to go as self sustained as possible in my country.
I truly believe that is the only way for us as specie to survive and thrive, otherwise, we're all gone, sooner than later!
