Hello from CT

Hi there. I am officially new to this group but have been following everyone for advice for months.
We live in CT on 2.5acres on the north end of town in a beautiful beach community.
I have always had a love for the outdoors and nature and living off the land. I have been talking about having chickens for years and my husband surprised me this year for my birthday with the coop and all the necessary supplies to start off!
While at tractor supply I impulse bought 4 Orpington and 4 Pekins for .25c each instead of following the original plan of 17wk old pullets. Oh well mind as well get the full experience right!!
