Hi. I'm new on this site and I just wanted to say how nice and helpful everyone is. I'm addicted already.
I'm from CT and I have 2 RIR, 1 Australorp, and 4 new chicks, EE, RIR, Barred Rock, and SLW, and I'm expecting an order of 26 in July (half are going to my mother). I love all the different breeds, and hope to start taking some pullets to the fairs (unfortunately, we are not allowed to keep roosters).
I also have 3 cats, who are good enough to leave the chickens alone (actually Blondie babysits them when they are outside), and a wonderful husband who tolerates my chicken addiction quite well (and who is going to build me a beautiful coop at our new house when we move, keep your fingers crossed all goes well and we actually close next week as planned).
Well enough rambling, I just wanted to introduce myself. I look forward to "meeting" some wonderful chicken people.
